Proof of Concept (2021)
Textile-based (soft circuit) interactive installation. The sculptural environment of Interweave is centered around a performer (or participant) using physical touch to activate an array of sounds and projections, thinking-feeling one’s way through the rush of digital media we experience daily. The structure itself is made interactive by its conductive thread, which evokes traditionally feminine work of weaving, sewing, braiding, switchboard operating, computing, and filing.
